Missing a few teeth but still have healthy ones? A custom partial denture fills the gaps, keeps your remaining teeth from shifting and lets you chew comfortably again. Registered Denturist Enrique Parodi designs every partial around your natural teeth. Call (226) 898-3848.
A gap is not only a cosmetic issue. When a tooth is missing, the teeth beside it and above it slowly drift into the space. Your bite changes, food gets trapped, and the remaining teeth take on more pressure. A partial denture holds everything in place and spreads the load of chewing more evenly.
A pink acrylic base with replacement teeth and small wire clasps. They are economical, can be made relatively quickly and are easy to add a tooth to later. Many patients choose them as a first partial or while other treatment is being planned.
Built on a thin, precise metal framework that rests on your natural teeth. They are lighter in the mouth, more stable when you chew and very durable, which makes them our usual recommendation for long-term use, especially for back teeth.

A partial denture is held by small clasps or rests on your own teeth. It slides in and out easily for cleaning, and stays secure when you talk and eat.
Because no two mouths are the same, we design the framework around the position and strength of your remaining teeth, aiming for clasps that are as discreet as possible, especially near your front teeth.
We examine the teeth that will support the partial. If one needs treatment first, we tell you and refer you.
We plan where the clasps and rests go so the partial is stable without overloading any tooth.
For cast partials, we check the metal framework first, then the teeth, so the fit is precise.
We fit the partial, teach you to insert and remove it, and adjust it until it feels right.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers acrylic partial dentures once per arch every 5 years and cast metal partials once per arch every 8 years. Both need preauthorization: we prepare and submit the request for you. Your share depends on your family income (100%, 60% or 40% paid by the CDCP), and we confirm it before starting.
If you lose another natural tooth, many acrylic partials can have a tooth added instead of being replaced. Broken clasps and cracks can often be fixed too. See denture repairs and relines in Guelph.
